Library Policies & Procedure

The mission of Freeport Public Library is to be the community’s center for information, recreation, and lifelong learning.

The Freeport Public Library seeks to maintain the principles expressed in the Library Bill of Rights, the Freedom to Read and Freedom to View Statements.

The Freeport Public Library follows Illinois State law Public Act 103-0100 prohibiting public libraries and library systems from restricting or removing reading materials based on partisan or doctrinal disapproval.
