Early Voting/ Grace Period Voter Registration
Voters may still register in – person at the Stephenson County Clerk & Recorder Office
(50 W Douglas St – just next door to the library!)

Online voter registration is now closed. However, you can still register to vote or update your existing registration in – person for the upcoming election by using “Grace Period” Registration. Grace Period Registration extends registration through Election Day. Once registered, the voter may cast a ballot during the Grace Period at the election authority’s office or at a location specifically designated for this purpose by the election authority, or by mail if no ballots are available at the office of the election authority.
The registration period for the online voter registration system will reopen 11/10/2022
Early voting will be conducted at the lower level of the Stewart Centre, 50 West Douglas Street, Freeport, Illinois 61032
The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm. (Office is closed from noon -1pm)
Persons may apply for vote by mail ballot by mail or in person at the election authority’s office located at the Stephenson County Clerk’s Office, Stewart Centre, 50 W. Douglas St., Suite 500, Freeport, IL 61032.
