Summer Reading Bookmark Design Contest

Starting today! Come pick up a template and form at the library and enter the Bookmark Design Contest for your chance to win! We are looking for a new bookmark design for the 2023 Summer Reading Program “All Together Now”

  • Create a kindness/friendship/unity-themed bookmark for the 2023 Summer Reading Program, “All Together Now.”
  • Draw a design within the black lines of the rectangular template on the front side only.
  • All artwork must be original and cannot include copyrighted materials (ex: famous super heroes, princesses, or cartoon characters).
  • Please include artist’s first name on bookmark.
  • Designs must be submitted on the official entry form.
  • Bookmarks will be judged on: relevance to the theme, creativity, originality, and neatness. (Spelling counts!)
  • One entry per person.
  • All entries become property of the Freeport Public Library.
  • Use pencil, crayon, pen, colored pencils, or markers. Please keep in mind that whatever you use, the color should be applied hard enough for reproducing.

One bookmark from each age group will be chosen by Freeport Public Library staff members based on the rules below. All bookmarks entered will be printed into bookmarks to be handed out to library patrons this summer.

DEADLINE – No Late Entries

Return contest entries to Freeport Public Library on or before Saturday, April 15 by 3:00 pm.
