eBooks and online resources
Access Library resources anytime, anywhere.
eBooks no fees, no fines, and no overdue materials
Downloadable books are available through eRead Illinois, OneClickDigital, and OMNI Libraries, or visit a kid friendly site at our eReading Room for Kids. A Freeport Public Library card and Personal Identification Number (PIN), which is the last four digits of your card number, are required for access. Free software may also need to be downloaded to your computer or ereader. See our help page for more information.
Online resources a wealth of practical information at your fingertips for free
Looking for an article from The New York Times or Consumer Reports? Struggling with a homework assignment that's due tomorrow? Searching for information about a long-lost ancestor? Need some diagrams to repair your car?
The library's collection of online databases can be used to help you with these kinds of questions and more. You can use these databases from the comfort of your home or office 24/7. All you need is your library card.
Do your research here; it's FREE and exclusively for Freeport residents, with your library card number and PIN. Visitors and non-residents can access these materials through the public computers in the library building, however.
